  • Wild Bush Brumby racing and face painting for the kiddies.

  Sunday  February 14 Tribute to the Light Horse

  • Picnic Racing with a special tribute to the Light Horse.  It is 90 years since the soldiers of the Australian Light Horse returned from the battlefields of Europe and the Middle East. Many families in the district have connections to the Victorian 8th and 9th Light Horse and this is our tribute to the soldiers and the horses they left behind.

  • Special feature will be the march past of The Creswick Light Horse Troop, the Alexandra Horseman's Association and 4/19 Prince of Wales Light Horse Military Band.

  • Savour gold medal wines from Maygar's Hill Vineyard.

  • Lions Club BBQ and Bar.

  • Viv's excellent country style afternoon tea.

  • Let the bookies look after your local, country and interstate punting.
  • Slip, slop, slap and wear a hat.

    

  

  Saturday  March 6  Alexandra Cup

  • logoThis is our most formal meeting of the season and celebrates the Alexandra Cup. Stonelea Country Estate is run by George Watkins and family, a wonderful family providing outstanding world class accommodation and great support for the Alexandra Race Club.Beautiful frocks and beautiful people.
  • Local Melbourne and Interstate betting with the bookies or on the TOTE
  • Alexandra Race Club has raced on its current site since 1868.

   Saturday March 27 Highland Fling

   

  • It’s time to lift our spirits and enjoy the racing spectacle and entertainment at our very own Royal Alexandra. Just leave your cares and bring a chair!

  • Wrap up the season with tartan. Yes the pipes are calling .....

  • Presentations will be made to Alexandra's Leading Rider and Trainer. The Geoff Purvis Leading Rider Award will be  closely contested.

  • The Malvern Punters’ Club Leading Trainer Award

  • Local Melbourne and Interstate betting with the bookies or on the TOTE.

  •  Viv’s afternoon tea will be available and the energetic members from the Lions Club Bar and BBQ will be catering as usual.
